- Course objectives
- In the current struggle for the meaning of the humanities, it is more than important to be able to present scientific results to the public. The course will focus on popularizing history and related fields. There are a number of tools that can be used effectively to communicate scholarship. Traditionally, these include memory institutions such as museums, libraries or archives, media presentations, but also social networks, podcasts or specialised events. The course will introduce each tool through successful projects.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be introduced to the possibilities of science communication. They will try to prepare their own popularization project and implement it. The teaching will be conducted not only theoretically, but mainly with the help of practical examples and analyses of successful or unsuccessful projects. Guests who are involved in popularization will be invited to the class. Students will try to prepare their own popularization project and implement it.
