- Course objectives
- The course aims to introduce phenomena and aspects of contemporary Italian spoken language in its different contexts.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to
identify and use lexical elements and phrasology of contemporary spoken Italian in formal and informal contexts;
identify and replicate hand gestures that accompany conversations;
use syntax and vocabulary appropriate to different contemporary speech contexts. - Syllabus
- Topics: sectorial and slang languages, phraseology and convenctions in spoken Italian, politically correctness, signs, gestures.

- Teaching methods
- Seminar-type lectures with practical activities. Teaching materials provided by the lecturer as well as texts, videos, films and further bibliography. The course will run with a minimum of three students.

- Once enrolled in the course, active attendance is mandatory (min. 75%). Examination: written test.
