Course objectives
Cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty s katalánskou literaturou od středověku až do období národního obrození (Renaixença, 19. století).
The subject aims to make a journey through Catalan literature from the Middle Ages to the Renaixença (19th century).
Learning outcomes
Na konci kurzu budou studenti schopni:
- Analyzovat literární texty daného období
- Identifikovat a znát hlavní autory analyzovaných období
- Kriticky interpretovat literaturu tohoto období v kontextu dějinného vývoje Katalánska
- Propojit katalánskou literaturu studovaného období s univerzální literaturou

At the end of the course students must be able to:
- Analyze literary texts corresponding to the period studied
- Identify and know the main authors of the periods analyzed
- Critically interpret the literature of the period within the context of Catalan history
- To relate the Catalan literature of the period studied with the universal literature of the same period
