- Course objectives
- This course provides an introductory insight into music museology. In this case, musical museology is conceived as a special museology studying the theoretical, historical and functional aspects of the museum phenomenon in the field of music culture.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to: - define musical museology in terms of its subject, methods, goals and terminology, as well as in terms of its position in scientific systematics (especially in relation to general museology, musicology, archival science, library science); - use basic theoretical tools to analyze the music-museum phenomenon; - put knowledge from the history of the music-museum phenomenon into the context of the history of museums, archives, librarianship, cultural heritage preservation and cultural history; - orient him-/her-self in the structure of recent musical museology.
