Course objectives
In this course, the students will be introduced to the conceptual and technical tools used in the study of various aspects of Norwegian language and literature. The course covers topics such as textual analysis, linguistic theory, history of Norwegian literature, dialectology, language history, and more. Each class is dedicated to exploring specific topics in depth.
Learning outcomes
The students will gain foundational knowledge in the field of Norwegian language studies while also engaging with current research and research methodologies.

Teaching methods
The course consists of lectures provided by external guest lecturers. The lectures will be conducted in Norwegian, and occasionally, guest lectures or readings may be provided in English or other Scandinavian languages.
Assessment methods
Final (group) project. In addition, you must attend at least 70% of the lectures.
