Course objectives
The course will introduce various methods of meaning analysis of texts with an emphasis on analysis and evaluation of justification. Participants will become familiar with the structural, pragmatic and linguistic circumstances of argumentation, and will also gain a better understanding of the conditions of acceptable rational persuasion.
Learning outcomes
The graduate will know the interpretive and analytical tools suitable for analyzing the persuasive power of testimony. He/she will be able to use these tools to highlight decision-making processes or to evaluate a text in an argumentative way.
