- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the role of physical activity in human life and health. Furthermore, they will be acquainted with selected parameters of physical fitness, level of physical activity and basic diagnostics, so that they can correctly interpret data on physical activity in their own practice and research in psychology.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to:
Explain the role of physical activity in human health and quality of life.
Evaluate the level of physical activity and physical fitness in health promotion.
Understand the relationship between physical activity and selected concepts of the self.
Interpret selected parameters of physical activity used in psychological research. - Syllabus
- The role of physical activity in an individual's life regarding the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model. Physical activity in the context of physical and mental health. Physical activity in relation to selected concepts of the self. Promotion of healthy lifestyle. Psychomotorics. Diagnostics of the level of physical activity. Selected indicators of physical fitness and performance. Current topics in psychological research related to physical activity.
