For a deeper understanding of some of the topics discussed, it is advisable to have taken Methodology I or Statistical Methods I and II, but it is not a prerequisite.

Course objectives
To provide students with a comprehensive overview of the current possibilities and limits of the use of artificial intelligence in psychology. To develop students' critical thinking in the context of the application of AI tools in psychological practice and research. To prepare students for the ethical and legal challenges associated with the implementation of AI in psychology. To teach students how to effectively use selected AI tools for various aspects of psychological work (research, diagnosis, therapy). To link theoretical knowledge of AI with practical skills applicable to the psychology profession. To encourage students' creative thinking about the future development and potential of AI in psychology.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will: Knowledge: Explain the basic principles of artificial intelligence and its historical development in the context of psychology. Describe the main types of AI tools used in psychological practice and research. Skills: Applies appropriate AI tools for literature search, data analysis, and interview transcripts in psychological research. Designs an ethically responsible process for the use of AI tools in psychodiagnostics and psychotherapy. General Competencies: Critically evaluate the potential benefits and risks of implementing AI in various areas of psychology. Effectively communicates the possibilities and limitations of using AI in psychology to professional and lay audiences.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars where students are expected to actively participate in discussions.
Assessment methods
In order to successfully complete the course, students must either complete one of the assignments given in some of the seminars (e.g., perform data analysis using AI) or submit a homework assignment - an essay summarizing their personal experience using AI tools.
