- Course objectives
- The aims of the course are to:
- integrate the knowledge of Modern Greek language, literature, history, life, and institutions acquired during studies and apply them in practical sphere (travel agencies, companies, translation agencies, embassy);
- provide the opportunity to apply knowledge in the field of translation and interpreting (interpreting for translation agencies, for companies, etc., translation of company websites, etc.)
- gain practical experience from the actual running of a company or institution as well as the insight into its procedures and working habits;
- increase competitive ability of future graduates in labour market;
- gain contacts with employers and experts from practice. - Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students will be able to:
1) integrate the knowledge of modern Greek language, literature, history, life, and institutions acquired during his/her studies and apply them in commercial companies and institutions;
2) use his/her own experience when seeking a job in labour market;
3) get involved more quickly in the activities of institutions related to his/her study specialization. - Syllabus
- 1. Selection of the appropriate company or institution, basic contact;
- 2. Preparation of the practical training. The content depends on the type of the institution and the number of the hours worked;
- 3. Practical training;
- 4. Evaluation of the work experience. Approval of the practical training by a teacher.

- Teaching methods
- Individual consultation with the teacher. Supervision by the teacher and the institution.
- Assessment methods
- At the end of the practical training the student's activity is evaluated in the oral and written form by the employer. Requirements for obtaining the credit: positive assessment of the employer and the submission of the final report to the teacher. In the case of translations, the teacher will control the completed assignment.

Credit evaluation note: Počet kreditů je vypočítán následovně: 25 hodin = 1 kredit, 50 hodin = 2 kredity, 75 hodin = 3 kredity, 100 hodin = 4 kredity, 125 hodin = 5 kreditů, 150 hodin = 6 kreditů.
