- Course objectives
- The aim of the seminar is to reflect together with the didactician and other participants on listening practice, teaching in the tandem and teaching itself. The students, under the guidance of the subject didactic, evaluate the curriculum documents of the school together and propose possible changes and adjustments in relation to current new findings in foreign language teaching and new findings in the field of digital technologies. Trainees reflect and evaluate selected groups of pupils and the accompanying teacher's practices towards ensuring discipline and active work of pupils in the classroom.
- Learning outcomes
- Once the course is complete, the student will be able to:
reflect a class of another teacher,
recognize positive and negative aspects of their teaching,
apply general didactical, pedagogical, and psychological aspects in practice,
critically evaluate and apply basic principles of departmental didactics. - Syllabus
- 1. Setting and maintaining the conditions for learning in the classroom (classroom discipline).
- 2. Pupils' learning across other subjects.
- 3. Communication as a means of learning.
- 4. Confronting the curriculum with reality.

- Teaching methods
- Seminars with active participation, reflection and self-evaluation, discussion.
- Assessment methods
- Active participation in seminars is expected, the topics of seminars and dates will be specified at the beginning or during the term. At the end of the term or during the exam period, a common meeting focused on reflection of the practices will take place. Prior to the final reflective meeting, all required documentation has to be uploaded.
