Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to various areas of artistic and cultural practice, design, urbanism, issues related to current philosophical thinking and their placement in the socio-political context. Emphasis is placed on connecting the academic sphere with experts from practice. At the end of the course, students will be oriented in the above areas, in relation to the field of study and their own study interest.
Learning outcomes

- think critically about phenomena associated with art, design, urbanism and technology
- apply theoretical skills to practical examples from the field
- use the acquired practical skills in application to theories of interactive media
Syllabus
  • The course is designed as a series of lectures by experts from various fields of art, curating, philosophy, cultural practice and social theory. The content of the course will be divided between lectures mediated by TIM FF MU (compulsory attendance min. 70%) and FaVU VUT (attendance voluntary).

Teaching methods
Expert lectures, discussion, writing an academic essay. Lectures will take place in person.
Assessment methods
For a successful completion: 1. compulsory attendance min. 70% 2. academic essay (3 NS) on topic relevant to the presentations. The focus of the essay should be derived from the topic related to one of the lectures.
