- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide theoretical, analytical and interpretative instruments for understanding media art, especially multimedia art. The course represents an introduction to the problem of multimedia in a broader context of art manifestos and their concrete application. Although multimedia seem to be rooted in the realm of digital media in 1980's, in a broader "archaeological" sense its basic principles could be traced back to artistic and theoretical approaches of 18th and 19th century.
