- For taking this course it is necessary to have completed a training in the phonetics and phonology of English at a bachelor's level at least. Having had a training in public speaking or a course of pronunciation varieties of English is an advantage.

- Course objectives
- The course aims at revising and practising speaking skills and strategies in frequent academic situations.
- Learning outcomes
- On completing this course, a student will reach his/her personal best at speaking skills via a synthesis of pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and idiom into competent utterances.

- 1 A discussion about the specificities of oral skills in a FL 2 Segmental and suprasegmental pronunciation of English 3 Grammatical mechanism training 4 The training ov vocabulary, collocations in particular 5 Idiomatic expression training Students' own topics, often those of their diploma theses, e.g. 6 The schwa vowel 7 The perceptions of a foreign language pronunciation by musicians 8 Apps for pronunciation training 9 AAVE in theatre 10 The Yanito dialect in Gibraltar
