Course objectives
In this course, students will learn the basic approaches to style analysis. Emphasis will be placed primarily on the practical acquisition of stylometric methods.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - understand the essence of basic approaches in stylistics; - apply selected stylometric methods appropriately; - interpret the results of stylistic analyses properly; - learn the principles of empirical analyses (basics of descriptive and inferential statistics applied in style analysis).

Teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, class discussion, homework, written tests.
Assessment methods
Requirements for successful completion of the course: 1) regular attendance at seminars, 2) completion and submission of homework, 3) final test (70% success rate), 4) semester homework, 5) oral exam (50% of the exam grade is based on the answer to the question, 50% on the discussion of the semester homework; if one part of the exam is graded F, the entire exam is graded F).
