Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce participants in a non-violent way to everyday life in ancient Rome.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
describe in their own words selected aspects of everyday life in ancient Rome;
apply the acquired knowledge in solving practical tasks.
Syllabus
  • Introduction of the participants, basic introduction to life in Ancient Rome;
  • Roman greeting, inscription puzzle;
  • Roman way of writing notes;
  • manufacture of Roman tunic;
  • tasting of Roman cuisine.

Block lessons in an experimental, playful and experiential way.
Assessment methods
Achievement of the outcome is verified continuously during the course on the basis of the performance of assigned practical tasks. Credit is given for active participation in lessons.
