- Course objectives
- The aim of the Seminar for the Bachelor's Thesis I is to assist students in selecting a topic for their bachelor's thesis and preparing a project for its development. Throughout the course, students address a specific professional problem that aligns with the focus of their study program, Social Pedagogy and Counseling.
The course is designed to motivate the student to write a thesis that meets all the required standards. Successful completion of the course ensures that the student will have the theoretical part developed and a project for the practical (empirical) part of the bachelor's thesis completed. - Learning outcomes
- The student will:
- be able to select a topic for their bachelor's thesis that aligns with the focus of their study program and formulate research objectives and questions;
- prepare a project for their bachelor's thesis, including a developed theoretical part and a proposal for the methodology of the practical (empirical) part;
- familiarize themselves with research methods appropriate for their topic, including quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, and will be able to apply them in the proposed methodology;
- create a draft of the literature review relevant to their topic and gain skills in effectively collecting and analyzing academic sources;
- prepare a project for the empirical part of the research, including the selection of tools and methods for data collection.
Main outcome:
A developed project for the bachelor's thesis, including the theoretical part, research methodology, and proposal for the empirical investigation. - Syllabus
