Course objectives
Subject, methods and specializations of palaeoecology. Space and time in palaeoecology. Objects of palaeoecological studies (mires, lakes). Principals of macroscopic analyses. Principals of pollen analyses. Pollen morphology and pollen determinations. History of forest trees. Palaeovegetation and palaeoenvironment in the last 15000 years. Human impact on palaeovegetation. History of cultivated plants. Palaeoecological reconstructions in continental and global scales.
