- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce researches from other research institutes, universities and experts from practice dealing with the various aspects of the global environmental change. Individual lectures are focus on professional career, institution profile and scientific topics.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students should be able to: orient themselves in practical research projects solved by research community related to the Department of Geography; understand how to apply theoretical knowledge for solution of practical topics; use information obtained for the work on the MSc. thesis; formulate and critically evaluate professional presentations; comment independently on presented topics related to the environmental change; lead a discussion on professional problems; formulate list of problems related to the recent global change issues.

- 1.-12. Presentations of individual researches/institutions dealing with global change issues: universities, institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences, private companies, non-profit organizations, and ecological institutions
- Literature
- Stojanov et al. (eds.): Global change and resilience. From impacts to responses. Global change research Centre AS CR v.v. i. Brno, 2013.
- Teaching methods
- Lectures of invited scientists and researchers, discussion.

- Participation in the discussion, protocols with critical evaluation of individual presentations, final evaluation of the seminar.
