- Approaches to geographical regionalization. Prague Albertov School. Conceptions of a region in Human Geography. Spatial concentration of population: methods of evaluation, hierarchical differentiation, development, spatial variability. Development of the hierarchical structure of settlement system. Rank-size-rule. Hierarchy of human needs and hierarchy of regional processes. Sources of data and general methods of regionalization. Comlex and particular (sectional) regions. Administrative-territorial division. Variables describing regional structure. Regional organization of the Czech Republic. New administrative division (regions). Contemporary development trends. Integrated settlement systems. Metropolization.
