- Course objectives
- Geography - the social construction of a discipline, classical geography, a formal academic discipline. Regional geography, from region to process : empirical-analytic science. Models, systems and process : spatial organization/science, logical positivism. Explanation, relevance, human/humanistic, critical, realist, structuralist, Marxian/radical geographies. Postmodern alternatives, applied geography. Landscape/environmental geography, education, mass-media, sustainable local, regional and global development.
