- Course objectives
- Archaea -introduction. Domain Archaea-diversity. Actinomycetes and other nocardioform organisms. Essential chemosystematics.
- Syllabus
- Archaea - introduction, origin, diversity of domain Archaea, ecophysiology. Crenarchaota (Thermoproteales, Sulfolobales, Desulfurococcales). Euryarcheota ( Methanobacteriales, Methanococcales, Methanomicrobiales, Methanopyrales). Euryarcheota (Halobacteriales). Chemosystematics. Analysis of cellular constituents from G+ and G- bacteria.Structural lipids of Eubacteria. Analytical fingerprintig methods.
