- The lecture is determined for students of the branch of general biology, specialisation anima physiology. The presumption is passing basic course from animal physiology.

- Course objectives
- Research of metabolism - history. Katabolism and anabolism. Three elementary phases of katabolism. Mechanism of biological oxidations. Energy metabolism. Intermediary metabolism: a) metabolism of carbohydrates b) metabolism of lipids c) metabolism of proteins d) mineral metabolism Integration of metabolical processes. Metabolism in absorption and postabsorption stage a) metabolism during fasting b) realimentation. Composition of normal meal. Vitamins. Survey of hormonal regulation of metabolism.
