Course objectives
Introduction. Pathogenity and virulence of bacteria. Secretion of microorganisms from body. Normal body microflora. Ethiology, diagnostics and basics of therapy of diseases of individual organ systems, incl. viral, fungal and parasital agents. Basics of rational antimicrobial therapy. Hospital infections and their causative agents.
