- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of the lecture is to introduce the students of the long-term programme to actual situation and supposed trends in scientific computing within the borders of computational and mathematical methods in biology and medicine.

- Actual situation in the area of computational science (software, hardware, communication, computer networks)
- The art of computing (numerical, symbolical computing, data warehouses, visualization, share of the data and information, data mining )
- Deterministic models in biology a biomedicine, their simulation and scientific computing
- Stochastic models in biology a biomedicine, their simulation and scientific computing
- Parallel computing and use of the GRID technology
- Data mining and artificial intelligence, using of databases, knowledge management
