Course objectives
This practice shall inform students in a practical form about chosen immunological methods used in immunology. The practice concerns ELISA, electrophoresis PAGGE and WB methods.
Syllabus
  • The practice proceeds in the form of full-time work during 4 days, in which individual parts of methods are solved: 1. putting of antigen on the surface of microtitration plates and their preparation for ELISA test 2. testing on the presence of antibodies against chosen pathogen in serum 3. preparation of acrylamid gel for PAGGE method 4. electrophoretic separation of protein fractions of pathogen 5. transmission of protein fractions from the gel to nitrocelulose membrane by Western Blot method 6. detection of serum antibodies against proteins on membrane
