Course objectives
Basic course of population genetics as a basis of understanding the evolutional genetics. First part: the assessment of the genetic variation and parameters of population genetic structure. Second part: changes in genetic structure of populations. The aim of this course is to explain the logic of derivation of basic principles in population genetics and their application in real populations. Contens of the course: Assessment of genetic variation, Hardy-Weiberg principle in idealized populations and its application, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium for special cases of random mating, Assortative mating, Inbreeding, Random genetic drift, Migration, Mutation, Natural selection.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka probíhá pravidelně každý týden. Zkouška je písemná, zaměřená především na použití principů genetiky populací v reálných populacích a logiku odvozování základních principů. přednáška je doplněna cvičením.
