- Course objectives
- Fundamental laboratory methods of organic chemistry for synthesis (heating, stirring, cooling, introduction of gases, working with decrease of pressure, drying) and separation of organic compounds (filtering, crzstallization, distillation, extraction). The methods are trained an the compounds synthesis of important types of organic reactions. The products are characterized bz melting point, thin-layer chromathography, refractive index, and infra-red spectroscopy.
- Syllabus
- 1. a) Ethylbromid (mechanismus SN2, destilace) 3. Nitrace fenolu (mechanismus SEAr, destilace s vodní parou, rekrystalizace) 4. Azobenzen (elektrochemická redukce, rekrystalizace, TLC) 5. Ethylenacetal ethylesteru 3-oxobutanové kyseliny (mechanismus AN na karbonylovou skupinu, azeotropní a vakuová destilace, práce s rotační vakuovou odparkou ) 6. a) Ethylenacetal 4,4-difenyl-4-hydroxy-2-butanonu (mechanismus AN na karbonylovou skupinu, extrakce, práce s rotační vakuovou odparkou, rekrystalizace ) b) 4,4-Difenyl-4-hydroxy-2-butanon (kysele katalyzovaná hydrolýza acetalů, extrakce, práce s rotační vakuovou odparkou, rekrystalizace) 7. 3-Nitroacetofenon (mechanismus SEAr, rekrystalizace, IČ spektrum) 8.b) 3-Aminoacetofenon (selektivní redukce, extrakce, rekrystalizace, IČ spektrum) 9. Pinakol (redukce kovem v bezvodém nepolárním prostředí, práce s rotační vakuovou odparkou) 10. Kyselina benzoová (AN na dvojnou vazbu, práce s bezvodým rozpouštědlem, extrakce, sublimace) 11. Kyselina anthranilová (Hofmannovo odbourávání amidů, rekrystalizace) 12. Ethyl-acetát (esterifikace, destliace) 13. 2-Hydroxy-5-methyl-2'-nitroazobenzen (diazotace a kopulace, rekrystalizace, TLC) 15. Kyselina 2-chlorbenzoová (diazotace a Sandmayerova reakce, rekrystalizace)
