Course objectives
The seminar offers an active acquaitance with some important aspects of modern algebra. In this semestr, certain more advanced topics in group theory will be covered. The representation theory of finite groups will not be included, since there will be an optional special course MD131 Representations of groups devoted to this particular area.

Výuka: seminář ukončený zápočtem. Požadavky na ůspěšné ukončení předmětu: 1. Prezentace některých z témat semináře formou samostatného referátu. 2. Aktivní sledování a porozumění referátům svých kolegů.
