Course objectives
The students attend the course Fyziologie I at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University. The main objective of the course is to introduce to the students the basic physiology of man. At the end of this course the students should have knowledge of general and system physiology; physiological principles of: intercellular communication; electrical information transmission; heart physiology; blood circulation.
Syllabus
  • Body composition and functional organization
  • Intercellular contacts and signalization. Electronical transmission of information.
  • Physiology of the heart. Transfer system. Electrophysiology of the heart muscle.
  • Electrocardiography. Mechanics of the cardiac activity.
  • Cardiac cycle. Coronary circulation.
  • Microcirculation. Blood pressure regulation. Blood flow regulation. Regional circulation.
  • Variability of circulatory parameters. Reflexive regulation of blood circulation. Blood types.
