- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course are: the students will be acquainted with structuring of a scientific text; forms of scientific and expert papers and their formal requirements (citing, references etc); editing the text for publication; proofreading; redacting etc. The students will be familiarized with creating and presenting expert lectures and presentations (basics of rhetorics, verbal and non-verbal communication, preparing a presentation, conference, poster). The course includes elaboration and presenting an expert presentation and elaborating and presentig a scientific poster.

- 1. Creating and structuring an expert text
- 2. Forms of scientific and expert literature. Structure and formal requirements on individual types of expert papers
- 3. Citing, how to cite, list of references
- 4. Editing scientific text for print (basic typography, graphical and photographical documentation), proofreading
- 5. Creating and presenting an expert presentation - basics of rhetorics, communication
- 6. Non-verbal communication (gestics, mimics, posturics, proxemics)
- 7. Preparing for a public speaking presentation (presentation structure, the audience, environment, time-limit...)
- 8. Preparing presentations in Microsoft Powerpoint program - practical training in MS Powerpoint
- 9. Creating and presentig a poster - what is required
- 10.-14. Presentation and analysis of students' individual posters and presentations (discussion, criticism, evaluation)
