- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to prepare anthropologists for practical utilization of knowledge acquired in the course Forensic anthropology. During this course the applicant will be introduced to the principles and procedures of treating human remains; securing them at the site (archeology of the site of discovery) and laboratory treatment. Another part of the course is a practical study of basic methods and procedures used to analyze skeletal remains: population classification assessment of the individual (age, sex, body height, ethnic affinity); disclosing and analysing his/her individual characteristics, essential for the final identification of skeletal remains in the forensic practice.
