- Course objectives
- The major aim of the course is to overcome students' fear of the command line. In the course we will focus on basic operations and data manipulation in R. After the completing of the course, students ought to be eager to work in R and able to carry out all data operations necessary for data analysis and graphical presentation.
- Syllabus
- 1) R installation, Tinn-R, help, libraries, data import and export
2) First calculations, objects in R
3) Indexing, logical subscripts, ordering, subsampling
4) Calculations across lines and collumns, loops
5) Creating own functions
6) Manipulation with text, dates and times, NA values, diversity estimation

- The course will take form of a practical training. Three homeworks will be required during the semester.
