- The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- Upper Secondary School Teacher Training in Chemistry (programme PřF, M-SS)
- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students will be able to select appropriate experiments in order to fulfill general and inorganic chemistry lessons and will be able to conduct didactical methods of their realisation. The organic chemistry part of the course consists of practicing of simple organic and bioorganic chemistry experiments usable in chemistry lessons on high schools. During conducting of these experiments the appropriate methodics, resp. didactical methods and appropriate laboratory praxis are broadened.
- Syllabus
- The inorganic part General chemistry: 1. reaction velocity, catalysis, autocatalysis; 2. electrochemistry; 3. some other experiments usable in the lessons of general and inorganic chemistry; Inorganic chemistry: 4. alkali metals, metals of the II. group; 5. III. group, motivation experiments; 6. IV. group; 7. V. group; 8. V. group; 9. VI. group; 10. VI. group; 11. VII. group; 12. transition metals; 13. transition metals; 14. motivation experiments.
- Literature
- Chemické pokusy pro školu a zájmovou činnost, Čtrnáctová H. Halbych J. Hudeček J. Šímová J., Praha, Prospektrum 2000 ISBN 80-7175-071-9
- Teaching methods
- The course consists of 14 two-hour-lessons in the inorganic part and 7 four-hour-lessons in the organic part.
- Assessment methods
- Students are regularly examined in studied topics. In every lesson they demonstrate a selected exoeriment for the whole group. At the end of the course they give a 15 minute presentation. Course is concluded by a classified credit.
- Language of instruction
- Czech
- Further comments (probably available only in Czech)
- The course can also be completed outside the examination period.
The course is taught annually.
The course is taught: every week.
