Course objectives
The students will learn how to work on computers in the computer lab at the Department of Mathematics and the fundamentals of the operating system Linux; they will learn how to use basic Internet services; learn the basics of computer security; create web pages in HTML; work with the computer typesetting system Latex; work with the computer algebra systems.

Assessment methods
At each class exercise (in the computer lab) should be solved a set of tasks. Two credit tests -- solving of given tasks at a computer -- 50% of correct answers is needed to pass.
