Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to provide a practical experience with analyzing NMR spectra. An individual project consisting of a set of 3D NMR spectra is given to each students. Each student obtains a different project but students are allowed to discuss their strategy to solve their problems with the classmates. The goal is to combine skills of independent problem solving and of working in a team. The students who successfully finish the project will be able to design a strategy of solving a complex problem, to analyze real experimental data using research (not just educational) software tools, to make a synthesis of partial results, and to formulate a final solution of the complex problem. These spectra are interpreted by students using a real software for spectra analysis.
Syllabus
  • The course is based on solving a single project.
