Knowledge on the level of a graduate of Bachelor studies in the domains of Geographic cartography and Geoinformatics is expected.

Course objectives
This course is focused on the field of Web Cartography with primary aim to learn the main theoretical and practical approaches in this field of study.
Therefore, lectures are tightly coupled with practice. Student will be able to create his/her own Web pages in HTML source code with wide variety of included Web maps at the end of the study.
At the same time student will collaborate in more complex team projects from Web cartography.
Learning outcomes
Outputs from the learning process comprise competences of critical evaluation of a Web map application as well as development of own client- and/or server- side Web map application together with publication of Web services.

Lectures about the maps and technologies on the Web supported with the creation of the web maps while using technologies mentioned in the lectures
