- Course objectives (in Czech)
- The aim of the course is to show basics concepts of hydrodynamics in astrophysics.
- Learning outcomes (in Czech)
- The student will be able to understand basics of hydrodynamics and its application to different fields of astrophysics.
- Syllabus (in Czech)
- 1. Hydrodynamical equations, different ways of deriving the hydrodynamical equations from basic principles, hydrodynamical equations for multicomponent flows.
- 2. Basic solutions of hydrodynamical equations: hydrostatic equilibrium equation, sound waves, gravity waves, shock waves.
- 3. Radiative hydrodynamics: interaction of matter and light, radiative heating and cooling, radiative force, examples in astrophysics.
- 4. Coronal winds, dust driven winds, radiatively driven wind of hot stars.
- 5. Bondih accretion solution, accretion and outflowing disk, disk dynamics, anomalous viscosity.
- 6. Basics of magnetohydrodymics, magnetohydrodynamical equations and their applications: magnetohydrodynamical waves, solar cycle (solar dynamo).
- 7. Magnetorotational instability, linearized equations, conditions for instability.

- Oral lectures.

- Oral exam, preparation of the talk on a given topic.
