The student should be familiar with basic terminology structural geology. Completion of the course G4101 is a condition for students of the Bachelor's degree in Geology.

Course objectives
Student will be taught about the principles of plate tectonics.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to solve:
- simple tasks from a plate tectonics quantitatively, graphically or numerically
- simple tasks from geometry of orogens
