Course objectives
Regional geology, facial development, previous investigations, litostratigraphy, petrology, paleogeography, main structural units, tectonics, paleontology, hydrogeology and mineral deposits of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin includings geological maps and one-day fileld trip to the Orlice-Žďár facial development.
Learning outcomes
The student will understand the tectonic structure, development and rock composition of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin and will be able to recognize selected rocks directly in the field at the end of the course.

  • Regional geology, facial development, previous investigations 2 hrs Litostratigraphy, petrology, paleogeography 2 hrs Main structural units, tectonics 2 hrs Paleontology, hydrogeology, mineral deposits 2 hrs Geological maps of BCB 2 hrs Excursion to the Orlice-Žďár facial development 1 day
