- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to introduce students to modern physics and its applications in a simple form. The course is aimed mainly at science teacher students, who deal with modern physics topics in practice with their own students but do not have support for them in the basic physics course. The selection of topics is guided precisely by this goal, the subject thus includes theoretical and experimental topics, but also the topics on the border of science and technology.
Lecturers are teachers and experts from practice who deal with the topic of the lecture professionally. At the same time, the teachers' effort is to conduct lessons in a simple form, which should be understandable not only to physics teaching students but also to students of other natural science disciplines. - Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
describe topics addressed by contemporary physics; give a basic explanation of the discussed phenomena; orient oneself in the current possibilities of instrumentation of a modern physics laboratory; explain the basic procedures of modern technologies - Syllabus
