- Course objectives
- The aim of the lecture is to introduce students to the basic types of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, theier mineral and chemical composition and genesis.
- Learning outcomes
- The students will be able to recognize the basic types of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, their mineral and chemical composition, as well as their genesis.
- Syllabus
- Geotectonic environments and processes of formation of different types of rocks; PT conditions of rock formation; igneous rocks; metamorphic rocks; sedimentary rocks; minerals of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks.
