- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The objectives are twofold: first, the introduction to script languages; second, to complement the first Mathematics block courses, introducing the students to computer aided Mathematics and allowing them to master the homeworks there.
- Learning outcomes
- skilled use of standard Sage environment when practicing Mathematics;
ability to work with Matlab;
designing simple models for practical problems - Syllabus
- introduction to the Sage and similar software tools;
numerical and practical aspects of the concepts and tools covered by the first two basic Mathematics courses

- Ioannis Chrysikos et al, Script Project in Sage, available online, in preparation

- asynchronous support, individual or small group works based on prepared worksheets in Sage or Matlab.
- Assessment methods
- regular homework projects related to applications covered by the first two basic Mathematics courses (peer to peer reviewed, with direct support of tutor);
synchronous presentation of small projects in small groups - Language of instruction
