- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to offer students a wide range of topics in educational psychology. The aim is to support students to understand the psychological aspects of learning, education and teaching.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will understand the main concepts related to the Educational psychology. Students will understand the psychological aspects of learning and they will develop the skills to use psychological knowledge in teaching pupils in all stages of their development. Students will be able to distinguish between pupils' individual differnces and use this knowledge in teaching. Students will learn how to use counseling support in schools.
- Syllabus
- Educational psychology, aims, tasks, concepts. Theories and types of learning. Reflective and experiential learning. Motivation to learning. Styles of learning and self-regulation. Contemporary trends in teaching - psychological view. Education, styles of education, awards and punitions. Diagnostics in teachers´work, school counseling, school psychology. School success, personal, and intellectual aspects of success. Skilled pupils. The climate in school class, class management, subcultures among teenagers.
