Course objectives
This subject is aimed towards the field of dvelopment of map skills, GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and Remote Sensing with primary aim to learn the main theoretical and practical approaches in this field of study. Student will be able to practically use GIS, RZ, other maps resources in the educational field (e.g. to create a map that will be correct from a cartographical point of view). At the same time, (s)he will able to explain theoretical background of this approach. Whole subject deals with issues of GIS usage in lessons of Geography at high schools.
Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes include the competence to critically evaluate geoinformatics data sources and applications from the point of view of their use in the teaching of geography at secondary school, new knowledge and skills to use modern geoinformation technologies in teaching geography: ČHMU, SHMU, EO Browser, NASA: Global maps, Landviewer, EYE view atlas.mapy.cz Mapy.cz, Google Maps Google Earth/ Google Timelaps Nár. geoportál Inspire/geoportály, ČUZK ESA - Copernicus Browser ArcGIS online Storymaps

Credit requirements * Participation in classes 80 percent * Active performance - short lesson (approx. 25 min.) on one topic * processing and handing in quality preparation for class methodological sheet including reflection on teaching and recommendations + worksheet + presentation + other materials * tasks processed for performances by students (e.g. worksheets, etc.) and everything else stored in the drop-in office * continuous fulfillment of partial tasks
