  • Topics of practical training in ECOPHYSIOLOGY OF HIGHER PLANTS PHOTOSYNTHESIS (1) Pulse-amplitude modulated fluorometers, basic concept, handling, measurements of basic chlorophyll fluorescence ratio Fv/Fm (2) Fast chlorophyll fluorescence induction kinetics, determination of O,I,D,P points, and related parameters (active and non-active RC PS II) (3) Effect of herbicide (DCMU) on fast kinetics of chlorophyll fluorescence (4) Kautsky kinetics of chlorophyll fluorescence, measurements of yield of PSII, qP, qN (5) Effect of stress factors on chlorophyll fluorescence parameters (6) Dependence of yield of PS II on photon flux density (7) Photoinhibition and recovery from photoinhibition (8) Chlorophyll fluorescence imaging measured on leaf level (9) Light-response curves of photosynthesis (measured gasometrically) (10) CO2-response curves of photosynthesis (measured gasometrically) (11) Biochemical model of photosynthesis (Farquhar, von Caemmerer, Berry 1981) (12) Daily courses of photosynthesis in the field, daily carbon uptake (13) Credit-giving day
