Syllabus
  • The purpose of subject is familiarization with bases of geology, pedology and hydropedology. The part geology present genesis and the structure of earth body, compound and earth crust development with the relation to regional geology of the Czech Republic, geological activity of endogenous and exogenous forces, the basic geomorphologic forms and relief, rock-forming minerals, rocks and their genesis, disintegration, distribution and movement of the elements (geochemical processes). In next part, part pedology, students are familiarize with environmental and productive function of the soil, soil-forming factors, conditions of the pedogenesis, physical, chemical and biological properties of the soils, pedogenetic processes, character of the soil type groups, classification, main features of the soil world geography, methods of recognition and information system on the soil. The set of lectures include problems of hydrology - enlargement and circulation of water in the Earth, river hydrology and hydrology of the ground water.
