Syllabus
  • Introduction in macromolecular chemistry. Polymer chemistry and physics. Structure and nomenclature of polymers. Natural and synthetic polymers. Molecular weight and distribution of macromolecules. Relations of polymers structure and their properties. Therodynamic conditions for originating macromolecules. Reaction kinetics and preparation mechanisms. Polycondensation, polyaddition. Radical and ionic chain polymerizations. Coordination polymerization. Chemical reactions on polymers. Some industrial polymers from the viewpoint of their production, properties and application fields. Rheology and polymer transformations. Polymer degradation and stabilization. Composite materials with polymerix matrix.
