Syllabus
  • A systematic introduction to didactics of mathematics. Significance of mathematical education. Specific features of mathematical education. Problems of mathematical education on various types of high-schools from the point of view of school specialization and various intellectual level of students. Control and evaluation of knowledge of students. Didactic education of students on the following topics in high-school mathematics: -- Basic concepts of set theory. Introduction to mathematical logic. -- Proofs. Mathematical induction. -- Elementary number theory. -- Number domains. Complex numbers. -- Equations and inequalities. -- Functions and its graphes. -- Geometry: 2- and 3-dimensional Euclidean space. -- Vektor algebra. -- Linear and quadratic analytical geometry. -- Introduction to probability and mathematical statistics and their application.
