- Course objectives
- Cytophysiology, transport of water and mineral nutrients. Phloem transport of organic substances, control of gas exchange. Capture and conversion of radiation in plants, carbon fixation. Carbon metabolism, assimilate use in growth processes. Mineral nutrition of plants, uptake and use of bioelements. Physiology of growth and development - main groups of phytohormones. Control of growth processes by radiation and temperature. Stress physiology and ecophysiology, general stress responses. Specific responses to the most important stress factors. Biotic interaction of plants (symbiosis, pathogenesis).
