Course objectives
Detail information on morpphology and biology of parasitic hematodes and acanthocephalans including their medical and veterinary importance. Current knowledge of parasite identification and classification will be performed and discussed.

  • Importance of parasitic hematodes Characteristic of main nematode groups Morphological, biological and ëthological adaptations Function and structure of organ systems Types of developmental and life cycles Specificity Types of interactions of helminths with organism of hosts Phylogeny and classification of helminths Characteristics of main groups: Nematoda and Acanthocephala Identification, classification and evolution
